One-Woman Show Debut

When my 15-year marriage came to an end, an invitation from a former student to attend a “burn” led me down an unexpected path towards healing.

My one-woman show, “From Breastfeeding to Burning Man: In Search of My Tribe” debuts at @charmcityfringe this spring! Tickets go on sale 3/25 at www.charmcityfringe.com

About The Show

From Breastfeeding to Burning Man: In Search of My Tribe, follows the character Hannah, a single mother in her 40s, as she pitches her book of the same name at a writer’s conference.

Within the conversations she has with five different agents, the audience gets to know Hannah, her backstory, and the amazing events that lead to her personal transformation. Through dialogue and flashbacks, the story of how she finds inner peace and healing through the “Burner” community after her sudden divorce unfolds.

In this one-woman show, audience participation is key. Volunteers will be asked to voice a handful of characters from their seats in the audience and given a short script with dialogue to read. This technique reinforces the participatory aspect of Burning Man. During the show, Hannah’s monologue will alternate between the past and the present.

“Go to a Burn. It will change your life. Tell them your story. They will want to hear it…”
