Our society has become characterized by its divisiveness, leaving so many of us feeling anxious and overwhelmed by the endless stream of negative media and a general lack of faith in our leaders to make positive change.
However, I haven’t lost hope — and that’s why four years ago today, on the day of my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary, I co-founded Be the Revolution, a non-partisan, non-denominational initiative to inspire our fellow Americans to “be the change they wish to see — to focus on change from the inside out.”
I was blessed to have parents that instilled in me the importance of service to the community and commitment through good times and bad.
In the darkest days following the end of my marriage, it was the light of others that pulled me through. Focusing on what I could control instead of what I could not made all the difference.
Revolution starts within!
